Scrum Master

What you ll be doing...

Our IT team is constantly making it easier for our employees to get work done and for our customers to do business with us. As a Scrum Master, you ll be using an Agile approach to manage projects of various sizes through the full software development life cycle, inception through implementation. Using your top-notch facilitation skills, you ll work with a variety of stakeholders (clients, legal, security, and IT), designing solutions, managing expectations, mitigating risks, and delivering results.

  • Facilitating the team s progress toward team goals The Scrum Master is trained as a team facilitator.
  • Leading team efforts in improvement Helping the team improve and take responsibility for their actions; facilitating the team retrospective. Teaching problem-solving techniques and helping the team become better problem-solvers for themselves.
  • Supporting the Product Owner The Scrum Master helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
  • Eliminating impediments The Scrum Master actively addresses these issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Iteration.
  • Building a high-performing team Focusing on ever-improving team dynamics and performance.
  • Communicating with management and outside stakeholders.
  • Responsible for tracking project deliverables and adjusting project plans and/or resource needs to meet customer requirements.
  • Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Guiding the team on how to get the most of out of self-organization.
  • Guiding the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Managing processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet customer specifications.
  • Assembling project plans and team assignments.
  • Directing and monitoring work performance by managing resource requirements, performance quality analysis, and escalating timeline concerns in a timely manner.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

What we re looking for...

You ll need to have:

  • Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in running multiple projects in 6 to 8 week SDLC windows.
  • Experience managing execution, highlighting risks and dependencies, and resolving conflicts.
  • Experience keeping project scope in check.
  • Experience ensuring that the solutions as implemented meet expectations.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master for mid- to large-scale projects.
  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. At least 2 years is preferred.
  • sAFE Quality Practice Training and Experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Scrum Master certification.
  • IPAM/Master Agile certification.
  • Experience with user interface, interfacing dependencies, software architectural design, or database design.
  • Experience in building Kanban Boards and tracking.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage and execute competing tasks and multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Capability to effectively communicate to all levels of management.
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Slides and google drive, Google calendar and Google Mail.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Jira.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
