Business Architect


  • Work with business leads to prioritize projects and drive domain activities based on the demand for the line of business.
  • Work with business stakeholders to create and finalize project charters.
  • Provide insight to assist in developing better business solutions, using knowledge of current state, current processes, future needs, industry trends, best practices, etc.
  • Pro-actively evaluate business processes, identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for innovation.
  • Participate in preparing the business case, manage the business case and share in accountability with business sponsors for project delivery and successful achievement of benefits for projects.
  • Validate requirement analysis completed by business analysts to ensure accuracy.
  • Lead and/or actively participate in requirement elicitation sessions to provide and prioritize requirements for projects of varied size and scope.
  • Provide sign-off for Business Requirements Documents, System Requirements Document and Use Case Documents along with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Manage change control process including initiating changes controls from business stakeholders and assess/approve change controls initiated from the Application Delivery team.
  • Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test plans, reviewing with business stakeholders.


  • Superior organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in both Excel.
  • In depth knowledge of software development life-cycle.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Superior interpersonal communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in writing quality requirements documents for complex business systems projects.
  • Demonstrated formal business analysis skills.
  • The ability to analyze problems, probe facts, analyze issues and present alternative solutions.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an ability to effectively manage projects in an environment with changing priorities.
  • Exhibit flexibility working in a fast-paced environment requiring quick response.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business analysis role.
  • Insurance line of business experience for P&C.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading projects preferred.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Training or certifications in business analysis and project management preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
