IT Operations Assistant Vice President

Overview Selective is seeking an AVP to manage IT Operations for Distributed systems and Mainframe consisting of Operations Bridge, Production Control, Incident Management, and Data Center Operations, vendor management of managed services providers, Batch Production and Test scheduling. Provide leadership and proactively partner with technology peers, providers and the business to provide strategic direction for the Operations team. Responsibilities Works with the SVP, Infrastructure and Operations to establish IT Operations goals and implements procedures and performance standards to achieve these goals. Communicates policy and procedural changes. Generates reports for management in regards to service availability, uptime, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and SLAs etc. Fosters business partnerships with current and potential vendors, IT executives, and business partners; develops relationships that increase efficiency and effectiveness; balances individual customer needs and business priorities assuring alignment with the IT strategy Leads the operational staff; ensuring appropriate staffing levels, skillsets, and alignment to support business and technology objectives. Collaborate across IT in the support, troubleshooting and permanent resolution of incidents and problems. Participate in Audits relevant to Operations. Responsible for staff appraisals and development plans. Collaborate with the leadership team to actively plan and forecast future talent and organizational needs to ensure the advancement of a values-driven workplace culture. Continually looks for process optimization and automation opportunities and works with the business stakeholders in the prioritization, development and implementation of process and procedure updates and automation solutions to improve productivity and increase efficiency. Ensures the completion of all assigned responsibilities on schedule. Reschedules personnel and reallocates workload as needed. Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods when staffing levels are not at optimal capacity. Performs all administrative duties on the print post processing equipment. Lead workload automation for both Mainframe (Zeke) and (distributed side) (Zena) for batch job process creation and execution along with WS-FTP for all inbound and outbound data transfers for the business users. Manages the vendor relationships and contracts for the technology this team leverages to provide technical services and solutions to the company. Develop relationships with Selective's key infrastructure service providers to obtain and leverage technology knowledge and industry best practices in the support and delivery of our technical services. Ensures all operational services are proactively managed with a customer service mindset. Uses metrics and KPI reporting to understand past, current and future performance trends and to set the priorities to continually optimize the services being delivered. Prepare recommendations to senior management for operational improvements. Develops annual operating plan and budget for responsible area including hardware, software, maintenance and staff/department expenses. Develops, maintains and executes the strategy for Operational tasks Qualifications 10 years Information Technologyexperienced with 5+ years management role required. Competent level knowledge of current technologies and techniques to support Operations Seasoned leader with strong operational experience. Ability to attract, coach, mentor and build a strong functional and technical team. Change leader who is customer focused and translates vision into actionable deliverables. Project Management Experience; Experience with ITIL practices; Expertise in designing and improving processes. Experience with leveraging and managing IT onshore/offshore vendors. Strategic thinker with deep business acumen and understanding of how IT will contribute to business strategy. Ability to work closely with the business functions; IT teams and establish strong relationships - both internally with business units, and externally, with vendors and providers. Highly effective analytical, negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills - can do deep dives while staying focused. Effective communicator is highly articulate and able to convey important messages both verbally and in writing to all organizational levels. College degreepreferred. Commensurate work and/or military experience will be considered. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, previous leadership, management and supervisory experience, Strong knowledge of operational practices, contracting, negotiating, organization development/change management, are required for successful performance. 6115

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
