Software Engineer- Hybrid

Selective Insurance is seeking a highly motivated Application Specialist to join us in developing our web-based Commercial Lines Applications.
An ideal candidate is proficient in current technologies (.
NET 6 and Angular), design patterns, best practices and has prior experience modernizing applications of medium to large scale.
As a hands-on Application Specialist you will be both a technical expert and a leader.
In addition to producing high quality code and solution design you will also have the opportunity to provide technical guidance to other developers and identifying inefficiencies and process improvements that will boost productivity for the entire team.
Responsibilities Collaborate with individuals from all areas of the business and IT organizations to design and develop solution that drive business value Design solutions, partnering with technical leaders and architects as appropriate Lead others in your team in designing, developing, and testing high quality deliverables.
Contribute to developing and maintaining tech roadmaps for projects Develop and deliver key components and business deliverables Act as a key contributor in planning and estimation of projects Conduct and coordinate design, code, and test plan reviews Administer documentation audits and reviews and assures it is complete, acceptable, and in accordance with standards
Qualifications:
Required:

years of experience designing and developing complex applications Experience in C#.
NET API develop and SQL Automated unit test development utilizing a mocking framework Experience working are part of a large team, including mentoring and guiding less experienced members Working knowledge of git and trunk-based development Proficient in full stack development, design patterns and principles Preferred:
Experience in Angular development SAFe agile work experience or similar agile process College degree in Computer Science or Management Information systems Property Casualty Insurance experience Salary range:
$90,600- $149,600.
The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint.
Additional considerations include the candidate's qualifications and experience.
